Throwback Thursdays…Finding a Way

Good morning, Kathy... in many ways 2020 seems like a decade ago. It's a year I would prefer not to repeat. Somehow, I feel as if I'd already learned the lessons of resiliency, resourcefulness, and creativity throughout my life... I did not need 2020.

Kathy, We can all understand how the challenges of 2020 might have felt like a revisitation of life's lessons rather than a novel experience.

What an honor to have Thatcher's cardboard cutout sitting in the stands in 2020.  That would make me want to tune into every game! Very cool!

I thought that was a great promotion as the Mariner’s did something similar for season ticket holders Kathy 🙂

Great throwback and memory to share. This is something I think we all remember:

2020 taught us many things…such as how annoying masks are and the importance of human contact. But it also taught us how resilient, resourceful, and creative we can be in tough times. 

Cute idea for MLB games, Kathy! 2020 taught me that people need the human touch, to gather, to share, to be heard, to be useful, glad it's over and will never pass this way again. Now, there is much, much work to be done in Washington and the new Speaker of the House seems motivated!

That's awesome! What a keepsake!  I can remember when teams were offering that service to their fans, very clever!

Kathy that was very creative of the Huston Astros to do that and Thatcher got to participate in a round about way.

Being forced to go without human contact and having so many events canceled was such a terrible and unnecessary thing in the world.

I had forgotten about the fan photos - that was a unique way of coping with the disruption of COVID

Thankfully here there were very few places that demanded the wearing of masks. I do agree with you there was a lot of creativity during that time and technology took advantage of it with Zoom and other similar programs.

I was sitting here thinking.  I didn't even know what a Zoom call was before the pandemic hit.
