I hope everyone had a great Independence day! Of course, today - we get to start working for others again. This weekend for me was overtaken by home improvements (and from the look of my neighborhood - many others partook in STAYcations and were doing numerous home repairs - from roofing to landscaping and beyond). Mine consisted of installing plantation wooden blinds to the front windows of my home, drywall repairs, putting in the curved stainless steel shower rods, and a new backdoor and threshold. I did not make it to the masterbath to remove the wallpaper behind the mirror and toilet and light fixture, which is what I have left before painting... guess I have to wait on another holiday. You know, I watch the home improvement shows - and they make everything look/seem so easy... so far the most painstaking has been removing wallpaper and drywall repairs. It almost takes an artistic eye and special touch. I have noticed a trend as well, that homes that get listed for sale in my community --- are immediately improved by the listing agent or company thereof. Paint, carpet, fixtures, and landscaping... is this normal?
