The Active Rain October Challenge is brought by Leanne Smith and Endre Barath, Jr. It is titled Trick or Treat Time to Share. The idea behind the challenge is to share tidbits of knowledge learned on Active Rain.
Being I have been involved with Active Rain for many years it would be very hard (impossible) to single out just a few tidbits of knowledge I've learned here.
When I was an active Real Estate Broker I always told the agents I had hired that if they really wanted to know the Real Estate business they should spend at least an hour a day on Active Rain. I'd say: "You got your license and now you know how to stay out of trouble BUT if you want to learn how to sell you need an Active Rain Education".
If I had to single out one or two posts or persons I have learned from I'd have to say #1 would be my Best Active Rain Friend Forever (BARFF) Nina Hollander, Broker and her Real Estate Buyers and Sellers Guides. I've never seen better written guides then hers and how sweet that she shares them with us to tailer as our own... BEST treat ever!
I also what to signal out Kathy Streib and Wayne Martin for their contributions to my education. If it were not for Kathy I never would have seen the value of staging and how it truly ads a great deal of value to a listing. Kathy also gives us a wonderful recap each week of some of the best treats of the week here on Active Rain, a short cut to knowledge if you like.
Wayne Martin contributes a whole lot of knowledge from his experience as a Realtor but an even greater storehouse of knowledge is his daily dose of triva. As a weekly participant in a family trivia game I have pulled those tidbits out from time to time much to the amazement of family and friends... Did you know the largest organ of the human body is our skin? Thank you Wayne I've used that one a couple of times.
I could ramble on and on and name 100 contributers and tidbits I've learned here so in closing I just want to say Thank You to everyone on Active Rain.
