Gavin's Gift of Grace, a non-profit organization established in memory of Gavin Grant Gouldie, who sadly passed away on May 17th, 2018, is a project close to my heart, as Gavin's grandmother is a dear friend of mine (she is the middle gal Teresa Gouldie). |
This remarkable organization is dedicated to providing care packages and various forms of support to families who are going through the challenging experience of grieving the loss of a child. Each family's journey is unique, and Gavin's Gift of Grace's mission is to lend an empathetic ear, listen to every family's story, and tailor their support to meet the individual needs of those they assist. |
Recently, their Second Annual Car Show, aptly named "Gearing For Gavin," was held on November 4th from 10 am to 1 pm. The event took place at Cart Castle in Liberty Hill, Texas, which is the business of Gavin's family. The turnout was nothing short of phenomenal, with numerous families joining to support this meaningful cause.
Many Thanks to Teresa Brown with 3-D Realty Group powered by Coldwell Banker Realty for all her efforts in making this a real successful show!! The Car Show featured an impressive array of classic and custom automobiles, making it a visual delight for enthusiasts. But the event had much more to offer, especially for families with kids. The local fire department brought their trucks for children to explore, and there was a bouncy house for the little ones to enjoy. Delicious treats like kettle corn, sausage wraps, snow cones, and coffee were available, adding to the festive atmosphere. |
I am grateful for the opportunity to be part of this heartwarming event, knowing that the proceeds will go a long way in providing assistance to grieving families.
After such a successful event we made a bee line across the street to a local sports bar to watch the second half of the UT game and witness an "on the edge of your seat" overtime victory for the Longhorns. The Gouldie's are all fiercely local UT fans! It might not have been the prettiest win, but it was a win!
