This post is being written as an entry into this month's Challenge : Thankful Thoughts - ActiveRain's November Gratitude Challenge.
The mission, should we choose to accept it, is to share what we are grateful for, in up to four posts during the month of November. This is my second 2023 gratitude post. The first was all about nature. This post has to do with family and friends.
I am currently spending a few days with family near the east coast. We had a houseful joining us on Saturday. We were able to see three of our four adult sons, their loved ones including our beautiful granddaughter (above), a brother, sister-in-law, nephew and niece. And we'll be seeing the fourth adult son next week. My heart is full.
To me, family and friends are what life is all about, and I can't imagine how empty life would be without them.
From helping with projects, to sitting around in the evening enjoying great conversation, taking daily walks, preparing and enjoying meals together, sharing laughs and taking care of the little treasure, it's all wonderful.
As for friends, we have those we consider family and they are all as important as well!
So soon we'll be back in our Montana Shangri la, where the only thing missing is the rest of our family. But have no worries, we are working on them all, putting thoughts in their head about northwest Montana living! For now we make due with video calls and texts, but maybe one of these days there will be more family with us. One can only hope!
