Are you preparing for winter up North?
Winter is no joke in parts of the North/Northeast of the United States. There's much to take into consideration and do to prepare. I've always lived in the Southeast but I know people all over the US and have family in cold weather areas. Below are some tips and links to help you prepare for the upcoming winter season.
Winter Tips for All:
- Take inventory of your wardrobe to make sure you have what you need. By the time we get to winter they'll be selling spring and summer clothes.
- Make sure you have proper tires for your car.
- Check your sledding inventory for the fun days of snow.
- Make sure you have proper amounts of coffee, tea, hot chocolate and wine for those really cold days.
- Bring in your plants and prepare outdoor plants for cold days.
- Make sure your furnace is running smoothly and replace your filters if needed.
- Check insulation around the house so your pipes don't freeze and you keep warm air in and cold air out.
