Winter is Coming

It’s the middle of November and the holiday season is quickly upon us. Although still a bit early, temperatures have been regularly reaching down to freezing levels overnight. This can only mean one thing: it won’t be long until we see some snow. Snowy, blustery weather is what people think of when they picture the Poconos during the winter months, like a snow globe come to life. If one thing is for sure, it's that there is no shortage of fun to be had when winter hits the region.

Visitors come from hours away to partake in winter sports in the Poconos. Skiing and snowboarding are extremely popular, but shouldn’t overshadow snow tubing, a more relaxed way to enjoy the slopes. There are several options to choose from in the area, from Jack Frost and Big Boulder, to Camelback, Blue Mountain to Montage Mountain. Depending on your preferences, there is sure to be a resort that caters to you. After a long day on the slopes, there is nothing better than warming up with a cup of hot chocolate and watching the snow fall outside your windows. If you have yet to visit the Poconos during the winter season… what are you waiting for?

Excited for another snowy winter in the Pocono Mountains?

I can get you here!

Good morning Rick. I would like to see a small blanket of snow on the ground for Christmas Day in downtown Chicago but otherwise it belongs in your area, and areas like it, for people to enjoy the activities it allows. Have fun when it comes.

Rick, we haven't had that much snow yet, probably next month it will hit hard.  The mountains are getting hammered, thankfully for the ski resorts.
