Here, Kitty, Kitty!

We moved to Arizona just about a year ago and we are really enjoying our new community, PebbleCreek.  It is different to live in the desert, but it has been fun to learn about our new environment.  We see quail and rabbits all of the time.  Those bunnies do love to eat our new plants! The quail are just plain goofy and make us laugh.  We also see the occasional roadrunner, another bird that proves God has a sense of humor.  Coyotes also make an appearance from time to time.

A few days ago, was the best surprise of all, though.  We were driving our golf cart, on our way to play pickleball, when we spotted what we thought was a big kitty cat.  We followed it and watched it saunter through the neighborhood.  It was a bobcat and it was beautiful!

This is the kind of kitty that you do not get cozy with and there was a rabbit harmed in the making of this post! 😲

Look at those eyes!  You will not be hearing us say, "Here, kitty, kitty!"  I think it is best to keep our distance!

Hi Ray,
You do not want to get between a Bobcat and it's prey, do you?

Hi Ray... a beautiful animal, for sure, but also very dangerous. You were lucky to capture those pictures.

We did keep our distance, Nina Hollander, Broker.  The cat did not seem to be bothered by us, though.  It was like he was just out for a little morning stroll.

Wow Ray, I am glad you were not to close and try to pet it, but you are smarter then that.  Thanks for sharing the pictures with us.

Thank you very much for sharing this experience and your photographs. It is good to know that bobcats do not attack people but it would be a mistake to try to touch one.

How cute that you found a kitty with the first name of Bob.

That is quite the kitty, Ray.  I live near the American River Parkway here in Sacramento.  I understand we get Bob Cats occasionally, but I haven't seen any yet.

Hi Ray- I wish I could "unsee" the photo of the bobcat with its catch!!!  You are getting to see a new world of wildlife where you are!

Ray Henson  are you still enjoying vacation/relocation? Or are you ready to get back to work instead of checking out little kitties:)))Endre

Did you witness the bunny getting devoured by the bobcat?  That would be both sad and exciting to watch.
