Have You Seen The Results From Zillow's Home Affordability Tracker?

I have never been a fan of any of the reports that Zillow publishes. As an overview they might be fine but Their Zestimate on property value is a joke. I have seen property evaluation off as much as 15 to 20% whereas my clients expect me to be spot on. It would be nice if they went to look at the property to see what condition it is in as we have to do.

It'll be interesting how the home affordability tracker works out in the long run.  I have to agree with the comment left by Paul S. Henderson, REALTOR®, CRS above.  I think Zillow's Zestimates are often a joke.

    Zillow's Affordability Tracker looks like a great tool. 

   When it comes to real estate, Zillow dominates the internet.  The buying/selling Public is not on Realtor dot com, they are on Zillow.

    We (brokers and agents) should be familiar with and utilize Zillow.  Thanks for this summary and analysis of both Zillow, and the current Real Estate Market.

The challenge is the accuracy of Zillow's data. Real estate data reflects data from a marketing location, so, Zillow's information may not be a reliable snapshot of the location  of properties in a specific market area. I use the data found in the local MLS for trends and marketing analysis yet, why would a Realtor use Zillow?

Good information for homeowners who are stalling their purchases.  Over the long haul, prices have always trended upward,  And now that we have a nationwide housing shortage, its' wise to listen to veteran information like yours. Well done!
