Spark of Love Toy Drive 2023 Around Ventura County

On Thursday, we give thanks for all of the blessings we have experienced throughout the year. Unfortunately, not everyone is as fortunate. Millions of families throughout the United States struggle to make ends meet. That makes celebrations like Thanksgiving and Christmas that much harder. Please consider helping these families by donating to the Spark of Love Toy Drive right now.

Please help make this holiday a special one for children around Ventura County by donating to the Spark of Love Toy Drive 2023.

Spark of Love Toy Drive 2023

All you need to do is drop off a new, unwrapped toy at a participating business or the Ventura Fire Department. All donations must get dropped off at one of these locations before the end of business on December 11th. The local fire departments also accept non-perishable food items. Then, all toys will be distributed to underprivileged children around Ventura County while the food goes to Food Share of Ventura County.

Can't donate in person but still want to help? Instead, choose to make a monetary donation online. Money raised goes towards buying gifts for children in need. Or purchase something from the Amazon wish list. These will be delivered directly to Toy Central.

Toy Drive Events

In addition to dropping toys and non-perishable food items off at the fire department, organizers created several fun single-day, in-person drop-off events around Ventura County.

Camarillo - Sonesta Select Hotel (4949 Verdugo Way) on December 3rd at 10 am.

Newbury Park - Deer Ridge Christmas Display and Toy Drive on December 8th at 6:30 pm at 982 Golden Crest Ave. Includes photos with Santa and an appearance by the Fire Department.

Simi Valley - Mini Holiday Makers Market (585 E Los Angeles Ave) from 11 am to 2 pm on November 24th. Touch-a-Truck at Simi Valley City Hall on December 2nd from 9 am to 2 pm.

Thousand Oaks - Firestone Tire at the Thousand Oaks Mall on December 2nd from 7 am to 10 am.

Ventura - Stuff-a-Sleigh on December 1st from 9 am to 6 pm in Figueroa Plaza. Stuff-the-Jeep on December 9th from 9 am to 12 pm at 4 Wheel Parts (3310 Telegraph Rd). Channel Islands Harbor from 10 am to 4 pm on December 9th.

Ventura Can-Tree

Quick reminder: the Ventura Can-Tree event takes place soon. From November 30th to December 2nd, businesses, organizations, and individuals set up their very own Christmas trees made of canned food at Figueroa Plaza. The best part? All of the food used for this fun competition goes to Food Share of Ventura County to distribute to families in need this holiday season. If you want to participate in Can-Tree, sign up today!
