A Rustic Cottage on Lake Cherokee, a 222-acre private lake in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains. This was one of the first cottages built on the lake, so it is an improved fishing cottage.
Two bedrooms, two baths, and a laundry area in one of the baths. Sunroom, all stainless appliances, and a beer garden. The home is unique as this is the first year the flood maps have been updated, and now the front deck is in the flood plain. If you finance, you will have to have flood insurance. This caused the first purchaser to walk away. The 2nd one walked when the inspector discovered the septic system was under the house and beer garden. This is a fixable problem, but again, the purchaser demanded five times the cost or would walk, so he is gone.
We are back on the market. The seller is motivated but not stupid. He is willing to do repairs or, in the last case, include the boat with the sale, but he is not ready to be robbed.
Check out the interior photos and let me know if you want to move to Lake Cherokee for the summer, holidays, or your forever home.
