We have heard many expressions about laughter such as:
"Laughter is good medicine"
"Laughter is good for the soul."
Yet laughter is also good for relationship building and sales success in real estate. Please let me explain.
Yesterday I spoke with a potential client who lived on the east coast about a parcel listed as vacant land aka as dirt outside of Kingman, AZ. In answering the one of the first questions asked by this individual I responded with "And that is why I love selling dirt." The potential client returned my answer with a good out loud laugh. At that moment, I was fairly confident I turned the potential client into a client.
Our delightful conversation continued for approximately 40 minutes with more questions and more answers. Thankfully I know much of this area outside of Kingman, AZ and was able to answer the questions. At the conclusion of this totally great conversation, we made tentative plans to meet in early to mid January 2024.
When we can receive laughter as well as give laughter, we have the beginnings of a good relationship. And we again show we care. Caring is the foundation of sales.
Laughter shows we are human.
Laughter shows we are not focused on making the sale.
Laughter is our secret success weapon.
Laughter leads to sales success in real estate.
