Gratitude for Nina and Roy

Isn't it interesting how some people here in the Rain are identifiable by a single name?

Isn't it interesting how some people here in the Rain are identifiable by a single name? Is there any other Nina?  Is there any other Roy? (There probably is somewhere but not like Nina  Hollander and Roy Kelley, whom we all know and keep dear to our hearts!)

So - why am I waxing rhapsodic over Nina and Roy?  Because.....

This past winter I was driving home from an appointment in Bowie and my phone rang.  Since I am old school, I answered it (hands free of course) and got to talk to Nina.  She had some clients moving to the Charlotte area and they had to sell their home in Bowie/Laurel area.  She asked if I worked in that area - and I was able to say -Yes!  In fact I was just there.   What a perfect match!  Nina introduced me to her wonderful clients.  I sold their home before it even went on the market - and I sent them on their way to buy a home with Nina in the Charlotte area.  I was certainly happy - and I hope Nina was too!

The story with Roy is still unfolding but I can almost imagine the happy ending.  Earlier in November, he gave my name to a friend of his who is selling a home in DC.  We met and got along!  I have already listed her property and am already getting calls from the coming soon status in the MLS.  I am planning on making it live once I get its exterior painted for the seller.

Most of us probably started with Activerain to achieve better SEO, enhance our lead gen, learn from one another and get future clients.  However, those of us who stay around quickly realize that it is the people we get to know in the Rain that keep us here.     Still..... it's wonderful to get a lead - and to get two in one year is amazing - at least to me!

So Here's to Nina and Roy.  I am grateful for your friendship! and your trust!

And thank you to Debe Maxwell who came up with challenge.

Hi Roy... when I was a young girl, I hated my name. American girls simply were not named Nina. At that time the only Nina most Americans had any idea about was Nina Khruscheva. Today, I'm quite fine with my name because I almost never run across another Nina and never have throughout my professional life, but once. And more American girls are being named Nina.
