PHOTO JOURNALISM by PATRICIA FEAGER, 11/29/23
The Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Gardens is where I found Paradise on November 29, 2023. The Red Maples are gorgeous! With the exception of Thanksgiving and Christmas Day, the Gardens are open daily from 9 AM to 5 PM. Members have special hours and closing times for events. There is no better way to enjoy the four seasons in Dallas than to become a member and visit it year-round. For more information visit the Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Gardens website to find out more including hours of operation and membership benefits.
Landscaping is meticulous even when it rains Autumn Leaves. Volunteers are everywhere making the Botanical Gardens beautiful for your enjoyment. But the beauty is, they are not like Grocery Store Stockers working while you are trying to shop. The point is, the Gardens are for YOUR enjoyment!
In paradise, you will find blooms year round. The majority of the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex are categorized Zone a or further out in Tarrant County 7 b. Hardiness depends on future winters.
November is fine month to visit the Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Gardens. This is a great place to take photographs. Many brides and families schedule photo shoots year-round too. Yesterday, I was graced by falling leaves floating down softly. Trees are clean. Leaves gradually thinning. You can certainly appreciate the design of the tree better, especially if you are an artist. What I like best about Autumn in Dallas is the light of the sky changes. This is good time to enjoy sunsets with prelude to winter when the air is crisp and clean.
Now is the time to see the rocks with shades of orange and green with specks of leaves beneath their artistic beauty. The harmony of nature is a School of Excellence!
There are many Japanese Maples to enjoy. The tips reminded me of fingernails pointing to the earth nearly ready for recycling for next year's growth.
There are many different paths to walk or catch a ride with a Volunteer to see and enjoy. In the distance you see one of the Twelve Days of Christmas displays with figurines that move while the music plays to match individual characters for the lyrics. They are only on display now through the end of December. Evening is a great time to see them in action and feel the spirit of Christmas come alive!
Orange You Glad you took this tour of Dallas Arboreum and Botanical Gardens with me today? Come back tomorrow to see more.
