December is here, and winter holidays are right around the corner. Despite all of the hustle and bustle, it is important to find time this season to spend with loved ones. Many towns in the Pocono region lean into the cheer and feeling of Christmas, decorating and coordinating events for kids and adults alike to enjoy. As always, one of the area’s most scenic towns is leading the way in seasonal sights and sounds.
Jim Thorpe is a place to behold all year long: a charming small town that is often included on national “must-visit” lists. We’ve talked about how beautiful the town is during the fall months, but Christmas in Jim Thorpe is not to be looked over. The town and its storefronts are decorated beautifully in Victorian style, ready to welcome visitors from near and far. Festivities are abundant throughout the month beginning with a tree lighting on Friday, December 1st. Each weekend of the month is full of carolers, music, train rides, horse carriage rides, gingerbread house contests, and more! There is something for everyone at any time throughout December in this picturesque town.
