Thanks to Dr. Paula McDonald and Kathleen Daniels, Probate & Trust Specialist for this month’s challenge about Acts of Kindness. The Dirt Road Real Estate brokerage has 12 real estate agents. During a recent work family zoom call, a decision was collaboratively made to participate in the Kingman Golden Valley Association of REALTORS® (KGVAR) annual Toys for Tots event. At this KGVAR event, the various brokerages get together to assemble holiday themed baskets that are auctioned off with all proceeds going to the Salvation Army Toys for Tots campaign.
Somehow I was volunteered to gather the goodies and make the basket for Dirt Road Real Estate. In talking with our broker, Elise Harron , we settled on this theme:
Driving, Riding and Loving the Dirt Roads
Life Begins Where the Pavement Ends
A drive to Hobby Lobby in Bullhead City, AZ (about 40 miles away), was warranted. With a holiday discount in progress, I was able to maximize the donations by our work family team members. Additionally, a trip to the local grocery store for wine and chocolate goodies was also undertaken.
Here is what is in our work family basket of kindness.
- Dark Horse Double Down Red Blend Wine
- Elk Christmas Tree Ornament
- 14 Hands Hot to Trot Red Blend
- Bailey’s Irish Cream with Glass Mug
- Stephens Milk Chocolate Gourmet Hot Chocolate
- Holiday Mug
- Tin Can with Hershey Dark Chocolate Kiss
- 2 – Hershey’s Symphony Extra Creamy Milk Chocolate Bar
- Big & Chewy Chocolate Chip Trail Bar
- Hershey’s Candy Cane
- Truck and Tree Cookie Cutters
- Santa Riding a Truck Miniature Snow Globe
If you notice, this rural theme of dirt, horses, wildlife along with dark chocolate directed the purchases. I will be anxious to learn what our act of kindness in dollars and comments will deliver to the Kingman Golden Valley Association of REALTORS® (KGVAR) annual Toys for Tots event.
