My Favorite Memory in the Rain!

Hello and Happy Birthday in advance, Rich - what struck me about your post today was your remembrance of AR with a membership of about 1000.  Even though the estimated population of ActiveRainLand has shown lots more, I wonder when was the last census???  It remains an interesting place and certainly memorable for many reasons.  Regardless of how one counts it.

And speaking of counting, get those candles ready.  The cake is almost done.  🎂

Hi Rich- Happy Almost Birthday!!!  I wish I could remember the member count when I joined but I'm sure in 2008 it was still higher than 1,000! I do remember watching it grow. There have been many memorable moments here but what popped into my mind first was the time we banded together to use social media to help a member stay in her home until after her husband passed away. 

Happy Birthday and don't be a stranger. Welcome back. Favorite memory... Hmmmm. Discovering Active Rain late 2006 and enrolling in the early Class of 2007 Rich Jacobson . AR was a strong resource to learn, share, improve. To bring it all home back to our own zip codes to apply in our market areas.

Happy Official Birthday! I love your memory - that must have been such a wonderful surprise. My very first blog post here was featured and I got about 90 comments. I didn't even know what it meant to be featured and I couldn't even believe all these people I didn't know were so welcoming and encouraging. That was my very first ActiveRain memory.

Mine is attending twoRAINCAMPS and meeting Rainers in person including Bob , Ben and AR Staff members !

Happy Birthday! Good to read your post about what stuck in your memory about AR. For me it was the rain camp in Houston and all the friends I made there and here on-line!

A Happy Birthday to you. As to memories, meeting in person AR members from Phoenix beginning with Brian England are among my first memories.

Hi Rich! Happy Birthday! Many happy returns of memories in the rain! Best wishes for health and happiness! I don't remember that event, it would have been fun to see it!

I was reading for a long time, before I ventured to write my first blog. The challenges/contests, we have here, have raised my awareness about so many topics and have made me feel like a close friends to so many members. I love the in-person meetings with out-of-town and Phoenix area members.

I remember attending the first AR meet up in Seattle and from over the years, those guys have become good friends.

And totally, forgot. Happy Birthday Rich and congrats on all your successes.

I would say my best memory of ActiveRain was attending the Raincamp in Washington DC, which was done to personally honor Lenn Harley on being the first 1,000,000 point member. They awarded her a few extra just to make it official.

I have been fortunate to have met so many members including all of the key people at the top

I love your memory and I can tell you that I have a great one with you in Seattle! We all had such a blast during that trip. I will say, it was such an honor to hang with all of the cool kids, including you, during that trip!!
