I feel incredibly fortunate to have reconnected with some longtime friends and expanded my social circle to include their friends, which has truly broadened my horizons. Recently, a few of us stumbled upon a charming independent hotel and bar in Round Rock, conveniently close to Austin. This hidden gem, known as the Ruby Hotel and Bar; promises a unique experience with excellent service and hospitality, nestled along the picturesque Brushy Creek just 25 minutes away from me. What an unbelievable find!
During a spontaneous gathering this week, a member of our group surprised us all by purchasing nine Santa hats and suggesting a meet-up at a delightful boutique for some fun shopping. Our festive escapade leads us to make an impromptu visit to a friend who owns a hair salon. With Santa hats donned and singing "Merry Christmas," we brought a hat for her and spread the holiday cheer. We then made plans to reconvene at the Ruby Hotel a couple of hours later (after more boutiques shopping), setting the stage for an unforgettable time of joy and laughter.
What made the gathering even more special was the presence of one friend who underwent a heart transplant just six months ago (the gal second from the right in our group photo). Despite her recent health journey, she was determined not to miss out on some much-needed "girl time" during the Christmas season. It was a heartwarming experience, celebrating friendship, spreading Christmas joy, and creating lasting memories at the Ruby Hotel and Bar.
