The Truth about Affordable Housing in Cleveland

By
Real Estate Agent with Russell Real Estate Services 2020009093

Across the country millennial (like myself) are being priced out of the housing market with increasing costs to build, higher interest rates, and price increases across the board for resale.

We've seen the same thing in Cleveland and Northeast Ohio - but - our "entry level" home is still MUCH less expensive than most major metropolitan cities of similar size and demographic (even more so than our neighboring city, Columbus).

The home pictures above is of one of my listings from early 2023. This cap cod style home sold for $295,000 and is located in Ohio City - one of the trendiest and "coolest" neighborhoods in Cleveland. Where else can you find a completely renovated, 2 bed/2 full bath home for under 300k? You can look at similar home here and I would TRULY be honored to answer any specific questions you may have about Cleveland's housing market...

Impressive, a 2/2 for under $300k. It's becoming harder to find throughout much of the nation. Of course Affordable housing is relative in each local market. I have sold a lot of affordable housing - income restricted apartments, Manhattan is such a crazy market- I have sold in buildings where the income restriction is as high as $353k/year for up to a family size of 4.
