This month Dr. Paul McDonald and Kathleen Daniels are co-hosting the December ActiveRain challenge titled "Acts of Kindness | Sharing Love & Joy This Holiday Season." For this challenge we are to write up to 3 blogs about acts of kindness in one or all three of the following categories:
- Act of Kindness of Someone You Know.
- Your Acts of Kindness.
- Act of Kindness that You Witnessed.
For my first blog I choose to write about an act of kindness my wife and I were blessed with this year, and my second blog was about acts of kindness my neighbors do for eachother. This third blog will be about acts of kindness by ActiveRain Members.
Last March Craig Daniels and Eileen Burns challenged us to refresh/update our blog signatures in that months ActiveRain Challenge. I did not think I was going to have time to participate in that challenge, BUT as you will see below in the first blog signature, my blog signature was in SERIOUS need of being redone.
I found time to participate in the challenge, and the second blog signature below was my entry for the challenge. However, in the blog I posted introducing my new updated blog signature titled "It Is Time To Update My Blog Signature!!!" In the blog I mentioned I was open to suggestion on how to make my new blog signature better. Well Craig Daniels really took my request to heart, and went over and above anything I expected my blog signature to end up looking like. Craig took what I had created, and made it a hundred times better.
Below is what my original blog signature looked like, what the new blog signature I created looked like, and the amazing blog signature Craig created for me.
This was a great example of how members on this platform give of themself unselfishly. This was an act of kindness I had not expected, and was, and still am very grateful for.
This is only one example of an act of kindness that I have received from Craig. Each and every week for the last 3 years, Craig has created the feature photo for my ActiveRain Weekly ZOOM Meeting blog reminder. Below is just one example of the more than 150 feature photos Craig has created for my ActiveRain Weekly ZOOM Meeting blog reminder.
Craig's acts of kindness do not stop with me, he has done similar acts of kindness for many other ActiveRain Members.
Craig is one of several ActiveRain Members who are known for doing acts of kindness for other ActiveRain Members. These acts of kindness by ActiveRain Members to other members are to numerous for me to even attempt to mention them all in this blog. However, I will mention a few.
Throughout the year there are several blogs of ActiveRain Members, sending other members an unexpected gift which brightens up their day. A good example of this was this week Endre Barath, Jr was the recipient of an unexpected gift from Nina Hollander. A few years ago I received an unexpected surprise in the mail from one of the hosts of this challenge who practices what she preaches, Kathleen Daniels, and a couple of years later one from Sally and David Hanson. Both of these unexpected surprises and acts of kindness were not only a surprise, they were very delicious acts of kindness to boot.
As I said before examples of acts of kindness from ActiveRain Members are to numerous to list them all, but I had to give a few examples. This concludes my third and last entry into this months very special ActiveRain Challenge.
