Tropical flowers on Maui are always a hit
I've been a little lazy about blogging and it's time to change that! I know from seeing the stats that tropical flowers get some eyeballs, especially in the winter months, so here's some eye candy for those of you in the colder climates.
First pic is of orchids growing on a tree, which is pretty easy to do in many parts of the island.
The fragrant gardenia will bloom in the spring and fill the air with it's lovely scent.
These orchids were growing in Lahaina Maui, before the fire event of last year.
The Queen Emma spider lily is a huge flower that can be over 12" across, but with no real scent.
And the bright orange hibiscus is a real head turner when you see a large bush covered in blooms. The blooms only last one day, but there's always more to take it's place.
Thanks for reading my Maui blog...
