January 2024 Challenge: AI - Love It Or Hate It

By
Education & Training with Although I'm retired, I love sharing my knowledge and learning from other real estate industry professionals.

"Artificial Intelligence won't replace you. Someone utilizing AI more effectively might."

Margaret Rome Baltimore 410-530-2400 and I are excited to co-host the first ActiveRain Challenge of 2024. Here is what it's all about.

Love it or hate it, Artificial Intelligence is here to stay.  The challenge is to figure out how to use it effectively in our business and personal lives without letting it control us beyond what is reasonable. Real estate has been constantly evolving for a long, long time, and now it feels like the evolution is on steroids.

The Two Sides of the AI Coin

Embracing AI:
Are you embracing and riding the AI wave in your business and/or personal life? If so, tell us how. Tell us how it has helped you.

Has it helped you with lead generation, getting appointments, pricing properties, getting listings, writing property descriptions, or customer service? Has it streamlined your daily activities?

How has using AI given you an advantage? Share how AI has changed your day-to-day business tasks, decision-making, or customer service. What software are you using?

Your stories are proof of AI’s potential in real estate.

Beyond your business, do you embrace AI in your personal life? If so, how?

Resisting AI:
Are you resisting AI and wishing it would go away? If you are resisting, can you share why and what could change your attitude toward it?  If you did begin to embrace AI, what would you want it to do for you?

If you're wary of AI, your concerns are important. What’s stopping you from adopting AI? Is it the lack of understanding, fear of data misuse, or something else?

Why Sharing Your Story Matters:
Let's learn from each other. If there is some aspect of AI you'd like to incorporate into your business or personal life but don't know how, share that with us. There is probably someone on ActiveRain who can help you. That's what we do at ActiveRain. We help each other.

For those already using AI, we want to know how it is giving you an advantage or saving you time. Share how AI has changed your business, decision-making, or client relations. Your stories are proof of AI’s potential in real estate.

Please Participate:

This conversation is open to every real estate professional, regardless of your category. For those of you who are retired, can you tell us how you would have used AI in your business had it been available when you were active? And, are you using AI in your personal life?

It will be interesting to see how other members are using AI or would like to learn more about it.

The future of real estate is being written now, and AI will certainly play a huge role in it.

In order to qualify for 1500 points, to be awarded in February:
* Write at least 300 words
* At least one image must be used.
A Feature photo must be used for a chance to be Featured on the Big Board.
* An AI-generated image would be awesome
* Leave a link to your original post in the comment section of this post

Your definition of AI as 'All In' makes a lot of sense. And for you,  virtual staging is a great example of how this technology can be used. Thank you so much for participating in the contest!

Hi Debe Maxwell, CRS
Thanks for participating in our January Challenge. I am going to give ChatGPT graphics a try.

Margaret Rome Baltimore 410-530-2400

I am impressed by the AI technology showcased in your entry.  Whenever I can't find a suitable graphic for a post, I try to create one using text. In the past, I used to spend more time creating a relevant graphic than actually writing the post.

Thank you, Debe Maxwell, CRS, for showing us how you use AI.

Hi Laura Cerrano
I think we all have mixed feeling about AI, it's uses and potential.  We have to sort out what works and what doesn't for us personally.

Laura Cerrano  I really want to write a post about this just because I have enjoyed reading the entries and the comments. It has been enlightening to say the least. But here we are at the almost end of the deadline... wish me luck...

I do have to add this because I think you will enjoy it, I asked AI what would Van Gogh be like as a Realtor.... AI wrote this....

If Vincent Van Gogh was a realtor, he would have a unique vision for finding the perfect home for his clients. He would see the beauty and potential in every property, no matter how old or rundown. He would use his artistic skills to create stunning brochures and flyers, showcasing the best features of each house. He would also have a knack for staging and decorating, adding touches of color and warmth to every room. He would be passionate and enthusiastic about his work, always striving to make his customers happy and satisfied. He would be a realtor who cares about more than just selling houses, but also about creating homes.
