Natural vs Artificial Intelligence

By
Real Estate Agent with Summit Real Estate Group BRE# 01215778

There was a fear just before the invention of the computer that man had reached their peak and the future would be ridden with being stagnant.  It seemed like Color TV was the ultimate invention.  The space age gave us hope though.

Artificial Intelligence has changed everything.  Those of us closer to the end of our lives than the beginning really wonder what we will be missing in the future.  I personally don't think we would recognize mankind twenty years after I'm gone.

I am fortunate, having been born in 1950, to embrace the digital era.  I love and fear the changes that AI bring with it.   I drive a Tesla Model Y Long Range and now get a glimpse of the future.  Artificial Intelligence, when applied in a positive manner, can enrich our lives, make us safer and open our minds to dreams beyond our imagination.  Unfortunately, there is a chance that AI could bring devestation as well.  Evil people could create monsters capable of causing death and destruction beyond our imagination.

I personally look to use AI in the same manner as using Google.  It is a great research tool but not the end all be all of my creativity.  It is a outline in which I'll personalize the information.  I would never take my personal touch out of any relationship with another human being.

Respectfully, Tony Lewis

FYI - I used Spellcheck, is that a form of Artificial Intelligence?

Hello Tony - I hope your 2024 is off to a good start.  As far as reaching peaks at any point in life, there is much to take into consideration.  Life is like that, isn't it?  We pull at times, then we push.  Forward, sometimes a few (or more) steps in reverse plus some sideways moves too.  The possibilities are abundant.

Good Evening from Massachusetts Tony Lewis. I'm sure there is so much technology that we don't know about that would cause our eyeballs to spin. AI is an example. We Homo sapiens sapiens have just been introduced to AI. My hope is we all make it our responsibility that it does not get misused.

I'm with you, Tony. I'm a year older than you and I embrace technology. However, in the wrong hands, I fear where this will lead. For example, AI-driven cars can be hacked. Anything can be hacked!!!

Tony, your perspective on AI is thought-provoking and relevant, especially in today’s fast-evolving digital world. Recognizing both the potential and pitfalls of AI is key. Your approach to using AI as a research tool while maintaining personal creativity and connection is commendable. Continue to blend technology with human touch! #AIInsights #DigitalEra 🌐🧠

Hi Tony,
Like you, I enjoy bracing technology for how it made my work life more interesting and efficient. And also, like you, I would never take my own personality out of my writing. What fun would that be?

Thanks for participating in our January Challenge.

Good morning Tony. I believe it was Steve Covey who once said "the difference between man and other animals is that man has the power to choose." As one born in 1950 life has taught me to choose wisely. Same with AI, choose the positive and jettison the negative. Enjoy your day.

I’m gonna steer this to the food supplements ( also called vitamins) we should be taking . The synthetic ( petroleum based ) put out by Big Pharma and Profit Mongers can not replace the Natural .

AI in and of itself is far  from the tip of the iceberg as it offers so many positive possibilities down the road. It is just a tool and should only be used when needed and not as a crutch.

I agree completely with your statement below - maybe that is because I am only 2 years younger than you

I also agree with your point of view on the AI thing. So glad Carol Williams and Margaret Rome Baltimore 410-530-2400 came up with this interesting challenge

There are so many things to consider and it is new to many of us so good thing we can make some discoveries together!

Loved your question on spell check too!!

It’s important to stay current and relevant but I’m proceeding with caution.  I also think  it’s very exciting too.

Like you, I agree that AI should be used for the good of humankind, rather than to our detriment, Tony. This is a wonderful post for this month's challenge!

Maybe, if I was naturally intelligent, I would dig into AI and figure how to best use it.
