Stowe, Vermont Area Home Sale Market Report - 2023 compared to 2022
Another year is in the books for real estate sales in the Stowe, Vermont area. Overall, 2023 saw a decrease in the number of homes sold, an increase in median and average sale prices, and a decrease in inventory.
Below is chart that shows this trend for the State of Vermont, Stowe, Waterbury, Morristown, Hyde Park, Elmore, Johnson and Wolcott - with a few exceptions in Johnson and Wolcott (active listings increased).
This seems to be the trend across most of the United States. I don't know what will happen this year but am hoping for more inventory. I have noticed that there are more offers being made with financing contingencies and inspections. Perhaps the lower interest rates we are seeing will help buyers be able to buy homes.
