The coldest winter day The coldest winter day in Columbus history was on January 19, 1994, according to historical data from the National Weather Service. Temperatures dropped as low as -22°, and wind chills put this around -30°, per a news story that week by The Columbus Dispatch. This arctic freeze is now notorious for the rest of the Buckeye State + many other Midwestern states, including Pennsylvania.
I remember I had a home inspection that day and checked on2 vacant homes for freezing
Good morning Joe. I don't remember a temp below -20 in Chicago although I think we hit it for sure back in the 60's. That said recently with temps at -12 we had wind chill warnings of -15 to -40 plus. Guess that's why they call it the Windy City. Stay warm.

We hit a new record last week in Kalispell - I think it was -34º. I can say it was VERY cold outside!
Cold, but the contracts will not write themselves, time to bundle up and get out there!😁

Yes NW IN is also suffering from this arctic winter blast. So happy to now live where cold is low 30's. We are now headed for a warm up to lows of mid 40's and highs of mid 60's. Stay safe and stay warm.
Hi Joe- I've never been in zero or less temperatures!!! We had below freezing temps this week but nothing like your area.
