The Roman Catholic Church is responsible for some of the most beautiful architecture in the southwest. It started with Father Kino in the late 1700s, and the San Xavier Mission.
The Benedictine Sanctuary on Country Club Road fits right into a later chapter of Tucson's history, and to my mind, is just as distinctive.
South of Speedway, it lies on the boundary of the Sam Hughes neighborhood.
