A Matter of Perspective
Many people have been locked up for carrying, distributing, or using illegal drugs, especially young black males. Many of those drugs are now legal. Should I have been locked up for working at a fast food joint that peddled greasy burgers, overly salted fries, and high fructose beverages, which have led to the deaths of many people because of obesity, clogged arteries, and ultimately heart attacks, diabetes, and other conditions?
The Super Bowl is a very popular sporting event, however a new record may be set this year for the number of people world wide who do not watch it. This number could easily exceed 7 billion people. I will be among the 7 billion plus people.
Is President Joe Biden hoping that the Supreme Court rules on the case about presidential immunity and rules in favor of such immunity even to the point that the president could order the murder of another individual? Wow, who would have thought that it could be so easy for Biden to get rid of his nemesis. Be careful what you wish for Donny Boy.
A seller of real estate can not discriminate against an individual based on the race of the buyer, however a buyer can discriminate against buying real estate based on the racial make-up of the neighborhood.
The polls indicated that Hilary Clinton would easily be the victor against Donald Trump, but it did not work out that way. In the current presidential election, the polls indicate that the electorate are strongly against Biden or Trump running as the candidate of their party, yet each one of them is overwhelmingly winning their party's primary. Maybe the polls will be right this time and Kennedy will win the election as an independent candidate.
It was a recession for whom. The recession, which was caused by the Covid-19 pandemic significantly hurt the middle class and moved many people into poverty. At the same time, a record number of billionaires was created.
Protecting the US border is a major problem, yet very few people have been killed as a result of this problem. Meanwhile, Ukraine has lost nearly 500,000 people while protecting its border.
