A family-owned Irish Public House & Restaurant which has been a favorite place to hangout for the locals and visitors alike here in the Bay Park Neighborhood of San Diego, CA.
Why did you choose to be in this neighborhood?
Ryan grew up in Clairemont/Bay Park and his parents still are living here in the neighborhood. It's a special opportunity for Ryan and Julia to serve their community they know and love.
How long have you been in the neighborhood?
For over 10 years as a business and most all our lives as residents.
What are your career goals?
We want to keep expanding and growing as a business and welcome in more customers, eventually seeing them become regulars too.
Where do you enjoying spending time in our Bay Park Neighborhood?
"We enjoy and support many of our local businesses and attractions too: the new kids playground that recently opened at Mission Bay for our kids, who also attend school in Bay Park. We enjoy all the local coffee shops, like Bulldog Brew Coffee The Bay Park Fish Company restaurant, New York Giant Pizza, and so many more! We enjoy and recommend Tony's (Tony D'Amato) Luce Bar & Kitchen as well as his Baci Ristorante next door as well as Siesel's Meats and Sardina's Italian Restaurant and Bar...I guess you can say we definitely enjoy and support these and so many more in the neighborhood." ~ Ryan & Julia
What is it like to work in your kitchen and creating your menu?
Julia shares, "We care a lot about the food and drinks we serve-offering a Pub experience influenced by our local resources.
Ryan uses as much locally grown SoCal produce and regional ingredients as possible including using fresh fish from the Pacific Ocean just across the street and ingredients brought up from Baja ingredients.
Ryan makes everything from scratch including bacon, blood sausage, corned beef from scratch, haggis, Irish boiled dinners. Beyond serving Guinness, Ryan also prides himself on having a large representation of local craft beer offerings."
Ryan adds that they also do seasonal and holiday menus and we serve a Traditional Irish Breakfast and have an amazing Sunday Brunch: 10am-3pm!
What does hospitality mean to you?
We're a family friendly because we're a family owned hangout where we serve our friends! We enjoy the benefits of our wonderful regulars from the neighborhood but, we encourage newcomers to visit; we'll make you feel part of the family here at The Pub!
What does being a team player mean to you?
"We truly mean this is a family business, in addition to us being a husband/wife team , Ryan's mom and Dad (Patty Fulton & Larry Fulton) can be seen working at The Pub and everyone pitches in where needed: behind the bar, in the kitchen, washing dishes and greeting guests are roles we all take on!" ~ Julia
