Real Estate Agent with 410-935-5844 Office 634480

I tried to contact a listing agent about a property that the agent had listed for rent.

First I texted, then I emailed, and then I called and left a message.  No reply.  Similar to the instructions on a bottle of shampoo, I then repeated the process.  No reply.

Later that day, I saw a little boy who told me that he sees dead people and that they don't know that they are dead.

Suddenly, as if my life was passing before my eyes, I remembered:

the time that a seller for a listing of mine did not show up to settlement;

the time that I made an appointment to show a prospective buyer one of my listings, but they did not show up;

the time that a lead service sent me a lead, with whom I could never make contact;

the time that I left a decent tip on my credit card at a restaurant and noticed that the tip did not show up on my records (oh well, it was good service);

the time . . . . . . . . . . NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!

Wait a minute.  I am not dead. I am alive and doing well.

These unresponsive people who do not know how to respectfully live in a society are the dead ones.

If you are looking to get into the real estate market and would like lively, vibrant, and respectful service, then feel free to give me a call at 410-935-5844.

I will promptly answer your call.

Ron,

In today's impersonal world, just answering the phone makes you lively.

Ron,

One would think that being promptly responsive in the fast paced world of today would be an essential business skill.

It's unfortunate how many times people just don't bother to respond. As for people not showing up for showings, I remember one buyer years ago who was very late for one appointment but I allowed him another shot on another day. We scheduled a showing, and I confirmed that morning. It was a gorgeous Sunday where I'd much rather have been doing something fun, but I drove the 40 minutes to the appointment, opened the house, turned on the lights, and waited. About 10 minutes after the appointment time I called him and he said something like, "oh yeah, I decided not to come today". I said "you're fired." At least he answered the phone that time.

Hi Ron,
Some people ARE dead and don't even know it. Sad that they waste other people's time while they sleep.

Ron- people who fail to cancel or show up are short on emotional intelligence. You're better off not working with them.

Hello Ron - real estate like everyday life, offers continuing education in patience management.  Venting and Frustration could certainly be one (maybe, two) addition to the curriculum.

Good morning Ron,

I'm so glad that Carol Williams featured your post in her Second Chance Saturday Series. It's such a shame we have so many DEAD people functioning (if that is what you call it) in our society. Totally unacceptable to be so inconsiderate of others and their time.

A little boy seeing dead people is quite a scary thing, haha.  Sadly, it's difficult at times to communicate with some agents.

Good morning Ron. Zig Ziglar used to refer to brain dead people as "dead at 35, buried at 65." So many brain dead people out there. Enjoy your day.

There are people in this business that really consider themselves so much above anyone else and in reality, are among the walking dead, and in their best efforts may not even equal the work done by the person making that call.

Hi Ron:

It's a shame there are so many non-responsive people around, and not just in our business. Are they clueless or just don't care about the rudeness?!
