My Good Hair Day's Are Summer Days.

One reason I am looking forward to summer is because that is when I have my "good hair" days. Actually those are my no hair days 😊.

When you live in a climate where the temps often dip below the freezing mark you learn that hair and whiskers are good insulation.

One BIG surprise to Real Estate agents in the Northland is finding out how many homes are under insulated. I remember my parents 1st home in Fargo ND. It was a big house built around the turn of the century, maybe 1900 or even back further. I'm guessing it had little to no insulation because when we lived in it in 1960 fuel oil was about 19 cents a gallon and although Dad made a lot of money it was still to expensive to heat. Through out my career I was always amazed at how poorly homes were insulated as well as some of the materials used to insulate homes... like newspapers!

Do you enjoy the cartoons written by my son (Timmothy N. Timm) which I use as a springboard to write my daily posts? His strip, Titus & Philemon, has run in two newspapers for years as well as being printed in my blog every day. Titus & Philemon (pronounced Phi - Lee -Man) are guinea pigs. Their owner is Joe. Good morning Bob. My insulation up top has been growing thinner over the years. It also has made me more attune to insulation in homes, especially since moving back to Chicago where you was to keep the heat in. In Florida it was keeping the heat out. And companies have made great progress with materials that will do it better than before. Enjoy your day.

I can't imagine how chilly homes were way back when. Newspaper, sawdust, whatever they could find was used to insulate. Brrrr.

Good morning Sham Reddy CRS . Many years ago I purchased a hair piece and people I just met had no idea and often complimented me (just the opposite of what you see on TV comedies). I just might do it again, especially if I move across country.

Wayne Martin I too am amazed at the progress in insulation technology and in my opinion it is still reasonable to purchase as well.

That is why I am eager to shave mine off again Brian England . When I let it grow it is very wispy so when I put on a hat and take it off it's totally wild.
