The 2024 EGGStravaganza Spring Festival in Carlsbad

DUE TO THE FORECASTED RAIN FOR SATURDAY THE 30TH THE EGGSTRAVAGANZA SPRING FESTIVAL WILL NOW BE A DRIVE-THROUGH EVENT - A HOP'N GO. YOU CAN STAY IN YOUR CAR AND THE EASTER BUNNY WILL PASS EGGS AND TREATS THROUGH THE CAR WINDOWS SO YOU STAY DRY.
IN THE EVENT OF EXTREME WEATHER THE EVENT MAY BE CANCELED. CONFIRMATION OF THE EVENT, OR CANCELATION, WILL BE ANNOUNCED BY 8 AM SATURDAY ON THE EVENT PAGE.
March is a busy month, with Daylight Saving Time beginning on the 10th, the 1st day of spring on the 19th, and Easter on the 31st!
The popular Carlsbad EGGStravaganza Spring Festival 2024 will take place the day before Easter, Saturday March 30th. The festival will be held, as is the tradition, in Carlsbad’s beautiful Poinsettia Community Park from 10 am until 1 pm.
Poinsettia Community Park is located at 6600 Hidden Valley Road, south of Palomar Airport Road.
Carlsbad's EGGStravaganza offers plenty of fun, with multiple activities including cookie decorating, face painting, “Soak the Bunny,” crafts, and a fun zone. Kids will enjoy Carlsbad’s largest Egg Scramble (Activity Cards are required) which is ongoing from 10:30 until 12:30 (or until the candy-filled eggs run out).
There are 2 competitive fields. One field is for kids ages 6 and older, and the other is for children 5 and younger. EGGStravaganza also provides a non-competitive field for younger children, those with special needs, and as a place for photos.
Fun Zone Wristbands and Activity Cards ($5 each) should be purchased at one of the following community center locations between 8 am and 5 pm Monday through Friday. Online and phone registrations are not needed. There will be no refunds or replacements if wristbands or activity cards are lost or not brought to the event.
Wristbands are per person, but activity cards can be shared among multiple children. You can purchase wristband and activity cards in advance at these locations:
Pine Avenue Community Center, 3209 Harding Street
Calavera Hills Community Center, 2997 Glasgow Drive
Stagecoach Community Center, 3420 Camino de los Coches
Alga Norte Aquatic Center, 6565 Alicante Road
You will be able to buy Wristbands and Activity Cards at the event but there may be a line.
There will be food and beverages available for purchase, too.
