National Quilting Month - March 2024
For those of you who don't know, I quilt. I make quilted items, table runners, lap quilts, and big quilts. I love everything quilt-related and am ecstatic that this is National Quilt Month so I can talk even more about quilting!
I sit on the board for Mid-Appalachian Quilters, which is an annual retreat that takes place the last weekend of June this year. Registration opened on Saturday, and some classes filled on Saturday, but there are still plenty of classes that still have space available. Every year about 300+ quilters descend on Gettysburg for 4 days of quilting classes, lectures, and activities. Starting June 27 people arrive in Gettysburg and classes start on the 28th and run through the 30th.

Tammy Silvers teaches this class that was originally a block of the month project. It is a Studio 180 design and technique class so you'll learn loads of piecing techniques. This is a three day class.
If this isn't your thing, there are over 30 classes offered over the 3 days including Studio time where you can get help from a national teacher to help you over the hump of issues with projects you've been wanting to finish.
Not a quilter yet? There are classes offered at local quilt shops, community colleges and also in community centers.
