The End of a Trip with a Lot of Smiles
The saying is All work and no play make Ed a dull boy, or something like that. The last thing I would ever want to be called is dull, so it necessitates vacations.
For me taking a mid-winter vacation helps me through the slow period of the business as well as a jump start on the warm weather and the activities associated with that.
Out travels covered a fair amount of territory with stops in the DC area to visit family.
Next, we were in Charleston, just because it is such a great town and so rich in history.
We spent an afternoon touring the Naval Museum aboard the Yorktown.
From there, we spent a few days in Cocoa Beach and were trying to see the launch of the lunar landing rocket, which has had its issues.
A couple of weeks in Central Floriday and Boca Raton and then head back north with a stop on Hilton Head Island.
I very much enjoy the Island for the diversity of restaurants, the beaches and they even have golf courses here.
My wife found a couple of outlets to spend some time and I forced myself to see if the golf courses were friendly. That turned out well, but as also known all good things must come to an end and it's back to home and business.
We will take more time this year and even plan a return for next year. You reach a stage of life where it becomes necessary to appreciate the fruits of the labors and we so much enjoy fruits.
