The United States of America is considered the best country to live in. As a result, our Metropolitan Area of Orlando is considered to be among the most desirable locations to relocate to on the entire planet!
However, Chicago produced more buyers for Cape Coral, ranked seventh. Recently, Florida and Central Florida have remained among the most popular states to move to despite most people migrating here from New York.
According to research from Redfin, in the second quarter of the year, a record one-fourth of all homebuyers in the United States searched for homes in metropolitan areas outside their current state. This figure is an increase from the previous year's 23%. Before the epidemic, the percentage was 19%.
However, the proportion increased since the number of persons interested in moving within the state decreased by 18%. The number of buyers looking to purchase a home outside the state decreased by 7.5%.
50 percent of the top 10 go-to state metros were located in Florida, one of the top 10 states being considered for residency. Among the cities ranked highest, Tampa was number three, and Orlando was number four. The number of people living in Los Angeles looking for a new city to call home beyond the state of California is a major factor contributing to Las Vegas's rise to the top spot.

• Miami: Net inflow 3,700. Top origin: New York City
• Dallas: Net inflow 4,100. Top origin: Los Angeles
• Cape Coral: Net inflow 4,100. Top Origin: Chicago
• North Port-Sarasota: Net inflow 4,700. Top origin: New York City
• Sacramento, Calif. Net inflow 4,800. Top Origin: Chicago
• Orlando: Net inflow 4,900. Top origin: New York City
• Tampa: Net inflow 5,000. Top origin: New York City
• Phoenix: Net inflow 5,300. Top Origin: Seattle
• Las Vegas: Net inflow 5,700. Top origin: Los Angeles
For the very first time, Las Vegas was ranked first on Redfin's list. Based on the survey, the average rates of a property in Las Vegas is $412,000, less than half that of a home in Los Angeles. Additionally, the report states that "it's a similar story for the other popular migration destinations, which include Phoenix, Sacramento, and several Florida metros."
Nine of the top ten have median sale prices lower than those of the top-origin metro buyers entering the metropolitan area.
