Way to go NAR!

By
Real Estate Agent with Realty Austin 0438535

Lots of legal mumbo jumbo but I believe the recent settlement NAR has reached will indeed protect the Realtor industry in general.

Check out the video on their site at competition.realtor .

When people come after us as an industry it's largely because they are unschooled about what we have to do to be the professionals we are.

It's also an attempt to try to grab a part of our success given they feel we make too much money.

Well there is no doubt that if you are really good at your profession and deal with the utmost of integrity, you can earn a wonderful living in our business. Working hard and serving well, however, should not place a target on our backs. That is why I am glad the NAR is out there "Fighting the good Fight" for all of us.

While performing tasks as if we are negotiators, psychologists, marriage counselors, construction foreman and a whole host of other professionals, we simply do the job to the best of our training. And as for the training, yes it is extensive with our CE requirements to keep us up to date with the goings on in our world!

To be a Realtor and also be good at the job we must always take the code of ethics very seriously in our daily lives.

Lets keep on keeping on and get those buyers and sellers to the closing table!

And always strive for win win.....

So, as I just read on Inman news, no more mention of buyer agent comp on the MLS as of mid July.  My head hurts after reading that.  What a *&^%$# mess.   Not sure how anyone can come out and rah-rah NAR after this.
