Flowers always bring a smile to my face. My sister Sue shared my love for them. In our childhood, we used to weave daisies into bracelets and crowns for our heads. Our mother's garden provided us with vibrant peonies in hues of hot pink, white, and light pink, which we fashioned into beautiful bouquets. The rhododendron bush in our front yard yielded an abundance of hot pink blossoms, from which we crafted corsages for our teachers. We also adorned our windowsills with delicate purple violets plucked from around the bushes lining our driveway. We loved our yellow tulips that sprouted up every spring amongst the violets.

Today, I received a bouquet of gorgeous spring flowers from caring friends, inspiring me to express my thoughts on paper on the loss of my sister. Voicing my thoughts has been challenging, but her memory is alive within me. Sue was a gracious, loving and courageous woman who valiantly battled Parkinson's and scoliosis. Her daughters showed unwavering love and support throughout her journey. Faith guided Sue in life, and it sustains us now. |
We called ourselves the "Cleary kids" as there were three of us, my brother John, Sue and I. This was us in 1979 and at Sues’ 80th birthday party in 2022.

As the time came for her to depart, we find solace in the belief that she's in a better place. Sue, I cherish our growing up years, and as time went on, our weekly conversations, and will miss them profoundly. You meant the world to me, Sister.
With love always...... your sis.♥
