I found this short documentary about the koi farm on Oahu to be very interesting.  You see a lot of koi here on Maui as well and they're pretty easy to keep.  It's nice to see they can be easily shipped between islands.

Good morning Georgie. I was involved in the sale of a high end home in Florida where the seller had a large Koi pond creatively done. Thought it would be a problem for a future buyer. It turned out to be the deal maker. Enjoy your day.

I see quite a few Koi ponds in Florida homes, but they are usually dried up with no fish. Sad.

Very interesting video, I have always loved Koi, but never owned any. There used to be several Koi where we lived before, but we have no water features where we live now. Fascinating how they ship them and raise them and what increases the value of them.

That was an interesting video, Georgie. Thank you.

Years ago I showed a fairly expensive property in Carlsbad that had a beautiful koi pond. The listing agent was there, too, and made it very clear that that koi did NOT convey with the sale. Apparently some of them were quite rare and expensive.

Some years back, I viewed a home for sale here in the Bay Area that had a tank full of koi in the backyard. It was a metal tank and not at all attractive. I speculated that the seller had been raising koi for sale. Yet, the house was vacant and the tank was still full of fish!

I've seen koi ponds here in Washington, DC. They don't work in neighborhoods too close to Rock Creek Park because raccoons regard them as a sort of free fish market.

My next door neighbor has an amazing Koi pond.  I sometimes enjoy visiting, and watching. There is a real Zen quality to time spent there.
