Want to live life at the lake? Lake Elkhorn is a 37-acre manmade lake in 21045 Columbia, MD. It is a favorite destination for Howard County residents. The trail around the lake is approx. 1.9 miles long but connects to other pathways so you can easily extend your walk, jog, or bike tour. How about via the Patuxent Branch trail? It takes you all the way to Savage Mill and one of my favorite coffee shops in Howard County, Roggenart at the Mill. The lake is stocked with trout and bass each spring, and is just such an inviting place to fish or canoe (permits required), play, work-out, or simply relax and recharge your batteries.
How much are Lake Elkhorn homes going for?
Duplexes are in the upper 300s/400 range. Townhomes are in the 400s, and for a detached single-family home expect to pay in the 500s and 600s range (at this time).
