Appreciating the Colors of Spring, Southern Style
Out Connecticut weather is a typical Nee England Mode with a heavy rainfall yesterday which was snow in the northwest part of the state.
Having spent time in the south earlier in the month we at least have the colorful flowers still in our minds.
The entry way of or resort had a colorful array of rhododendrons, and if not for the leaves, I would not have recognized the plants as they were landscaped as small trees and not the typical bushes, we have in the north.
The flowers were so large and the petals so perfect in shape that they could have easily been mistaken as plastic.
It will be a while before we see anything like this in CT, especially with temps still getting below freezing at night.
I will have to be content with looking at the photos we took.
