The 2024 NCAA Men's Tournament Field is Down to 16

There are cats and dogs are starring at each other with soaring birds along with some very interested spectators. The end of this week will have some tough battles as the field of 16 fight to reach the final four.

All four #1 seeds are still in the battle, no big upsets there. Along with a bunch of single digit seeds. No one higher than a 9 seed, even though there were some teams shocked at their demise. The Blue cats from Kentucky will need time to recover.

The 'smart people' are still picking our UConn Huskies to win it all and be only the second repeat winner in this century.

There have been some exciting games and very few ones with people tuning away.

The regional sites have been very kind to our Huskies with the road to AZ barely leaving the Northeast with all games played in Brooklyn and now in Boston.

It is either a cruel tease or the basketballs guardians appreciating the team and allowing their fans to have minimum travel.

If your team is still in the hunt, I wish them luck, except of course if they're playing against our anxious dogs.

Enjoy the games. I am sorry that UVA did not make the list.

Have a great day.

Michael Elliott   Our women's coach would always say that the Elite 8 games were the most anxious and hardest as it was the gateway to the Final 4, where all want to be.

Thanks for stopping to comment, Roy Kelley. The UVA team had a rough patch for sure.

I hope your team does well, Ed Silva, 203-206-0754 .  I still have hope for Gonzaga, however!

I believe Gonzaga tied a long standing record by having made it to the 16 yet again, not to mention 25 straight times to the tournament.  Be nice for them to take it home once.  m

Hi Ed- my Houston Cougars play Duke on Friday. The game between Houston and the Aggies was excruciating to watch. BTW- I picked UConn in my brackets.

Your UCONN Huskies certainly are the favorites to win it all, but I am hoping my Arizona Wildcats will find a way to win it all, haha.
