Lion Around (no misspelling here)

For the first time in more than four decades a baby lion has been born at the Roosevelt Park Zoo in Minot North Dakota.

Look at the paws on this little cub. The newspaper report failed to mention if the cub is male, or female so I will let you know in a later post. I would guess that they will have a "naming" contest to generate even more interest. Here is a pick of mom and baby.

Regretfully the cub had two siblings who did not survive the birthing process.

Do you enjoy the cartoons written by my son (Timmothy N. Timm) which I use as a springboard to write my daily posts? Thank you for commenting Michael Elliott . I think they are just irresistible. It would be fun to raise one for a few months... until they can over power you and do some real damage.

That is what I thought as well Carol Williams  but at least one is healthy and will make a great addition to the Zoo family until they have to send it off to another Zoo.

I think they are pretty playful for about 4 to 6 months Brian England but even then they are very strong kitty's.
