Spring 2024  March Rains Led to April Flowers

Th expression has always been April showers lead to May Flowers.  In years past that may have been the case, but I noticed while taking a light stroll along the yard this morning, that the flowers aren't waiting for much warmer weather.

In fact, they aren't even concerned that the spring debris cleanup has yet to be done.

We have daffodils all over the yard and as they are so good about regenerating themselves, they are not only stronger but also thicker.

I know there are several varieties of daffodils, but the best I can do is large and small, yellow and white.

Same with the hyacinth, and at least one of the clumps has far more this year than they had last year but still a little too early for them to fully blossom.

It just cheered my soul to see the colors, and to know that our warmer weather is just around the corner and maybe a few more of those April showers as we have a lot of May flowers yet to blossom.

Ed, I miss my previous home, had so many bulbs that would pop up in the spring.  Yours are beautiful!

The spring flowers were always a welcome sight when I lived in the northeast. I especially loved the dogwood trees and lilacs.

Aahh...Spring!

As our daffodils gracefully bow out, the stage is set for the vibrant tulips to take center stage.

Tourists are waiting patiently to join us on a journey to the enchanting Tulip Farm in northern Washington, where beauty blooms and memories are made.

Thank you for the reminder..Ed. Enjoy your day.

Ed, have to be honest.  Not particularly fond of this time of year around the yards.  I have to try take advantage of single day sunshine windows to cut lawns, otherwise to wet.  If I don't get it right I may as well be out 'haying' by the time I get out to mow lawns.  lol   Make it a great weekend ahead.  m

Hi Ed- I was thinking about that the other day. People say April showers bring May Flowers but I'm seeing a lot of flowers here already.  I love your photos.
