I think we all have opinions as to what the best cities are and also what should constitute a best city. So, the number 7 best city to live in Maryland is Ocean City.
Ocean City only has 6,800 full-time residents, but during the summer it hosts between 320,000 - 345,000 people each weekend and up to 8 million visitors annually. Ocean City has always been a destination, somewhere you take the family for a week during the summer, a destination for students graduating from high school (a right of passage, as it were). Ocean City attracts many people to its vast array of entertainment options, including restaurants, shops, amusement parks, and nightlife venues. Some icons of Ocean City are Fractured Prune Donuts, Thrasher's French Fries, Ocean City Life Saving Museum, Riipley's Believe it or Not, and Trimper's Rides and Amusements.
The real estate market in Ocean City tends to be much more seasonal than in other parts of the state. Many investors invest in the condo market in Ocean City and rent it during the peak seasons and when it isn't booked they will go and enjoy Ocean City themselves. Most of the rental income is derived between May and October and units are often vacant during the winter months.
