India Palace in Downtown Provo Utah

By
Real Estate Agent with The Gasset Group & Get It Done For Me Virtual Services 13253167-SA00

My youngest son turned 21 years old. I have a tradition in my family to take the adult birthday kid out to lunch or dinner. He chose dinner at the India Palace in Downtown Provo, Utah.

What a great choice! We love the different Indian regional foods from around India. Curry is one of our favorites!

Since turmeric is so healthy, we can indulge in the many flavors!

There is a variety of healthy and low-fat options on the menu at India Palace in Provo, Utah.

Many people in India are vegetarian. This is a great place to eat out on ‘Meatless Mondays’.

Since Indian cuisine does not include any beef or pork, or cuts from a cow. Cows are sacred in India.

There are delicious lamb options. Lamb is on my superfoods list for my body’s biome. Lamb is also expensive even at Costco. I choose lamb entrées at Indian restaurants! This way I get my lamb quota in for a very reasonable price.

India Palace serves foods from different regions of India. It is a cultural experience to try out the different regional tastes and spices.

We went at lunchtime. India Palace has lunch special price. Their lunch special is filling. It goes until 2:30 p.m. Note: their times and prices vary, so always check first.

My son ordered the lunch special. It included two flavors of rice, 3 entrée options of different curries, and fresh homemade naan.

I will tell you… their Naan is AMAZING! I ordered their sweet Peshwari Naan. It was heavenly!

We ordered an extra portion of the garlic naan and the sweet naan.

I ordered the Lamb Vindaloo. I love potatoes in curry bases. It was delicious. It came with a large order of their cardamon basmati rice.

Tip: when preparing or eating Indian food, you want to choose basmati rice. When preparing or eating Thai food, you want to choose jasmine rice.

Katerina Gasset and Tristan Gasset dining at India Palace located in Downtown Provo Utah…

When we went, there were only a few patrons in the restaurant due to the time of the day we were there.

Our server was attentive. Cultural differences with Asian and Indian customer service may take a little getting used to, especially if you eat at Latin restaurants where the service is super attentive and loving:) So be patient. Be kind. Learn about the cultures of the places you go to eat if they are different than yours.

I will go back in the evenings and let you know how the service is in the evenings during dinner hours. Please leave me a comment with your experience.
