The Buyer Agent's Commission Discourse

By
Services for Real Estate Pros with RealBird Inc.

RISMedia has a good intro here on how various agents and brokers navigate the buyer agent compensation related commission discourse with their clients.

For those of you who have seize the moment and decided to continue to provide buyer agent compensation through your sellers, we announced a great new RealBird feature last week. The Buyer Agent Commission Minisite on RealBird can be easily set up with a few clicks on RealBird for your listings, and you can share your seller's buyer agent compensation details privately or publicly.

Since our last post, these Buyer Agent Commission Minisites are popping up on our platform. Here is an example courtesy of Heather Marie Seropian / License: L3444136 / Meant2b Realty

https://listings.realbird.com/D4C7C1F8/632824.aspx << shared on the public single property website.

What do you think? Are you going to publicly share buyer agent compensation details online via your listing websites or via private links?

Let us know your thoughts below in the comment section.

Thanks

RealBird Real Estate Marketing  This is such a touchy subject. I do not think anyone is sure what they can and  cannot  do; it is very confusing - Thanks for being there for us and offering us options

Home again, home again...

As of now (and that's the key... could change any freakin' minute) they claim we are allowed to advertise commissions on our own websites.

I, honestly, haven't a clue how this is going to work.  Come August 17th (or some later date, if it gets pushed again), ask me again.

Change is coming and no one is really sure of the outcome that will be acceptable and workable. We shall see.

It is my understanding that we can in fact place the Buyer Agent Commission on flyers

I think we can put coop on website and our flyers but will wait and see.

The profession would be wise to change the model, let buyers be responsible for paying their own agents and not keep searching for loopholes that will eventually lead to more lawsuits.

Hi Everyone,

We launched a small update that puts this information 2-click away from the MLS, which is required if you share the RealBird listing site with public coop compensation details info on the MLS. The rest of the features remain the same.
