Philadelphia Steals and Deals Amazon VS Dollar Tree

Today, while waiting for a pre-settlement walkthrough, I found a fascinating YouTube video. It is comparing prices on Dollar Tree prices and Amazon prices. I was astonished and decided to use this as this week's Philadelphia Steals and Deals. I purchased some of these items myself and was shocked that they worked. As the man in the video suggested, I also made it a point to read the labels. This practice helped me understand the product's compatibility, ensuring I made the right purchase.

I have read several articles about Dollar stores. Some say they will be closing. Others say they are just going to be raising prices again. Despite rising prices in today's economy, they are the best buy in town. When I shop there, sometimes I spend $14; other times I pay $38. Where can you buy a six-pack of purified water for $1.25?  I may need a pair of reading glasses, which have raised recently from $1.25 to $1.50. Where can you get a fashionable pair of glasses for this price? 

Hopefully, Dollar Tree will stay in business as it is a fun place to shop. Please take the time to watch the video, as it does have some great steals and deals. I know I will be stopping there after my pre-settlement walk-through and picking up some great bargains, including Scottie tissues.

Hello Hannah - I have bookmarked your post.   It seems I have often gone down many rabbit holes while searching videos on YouTube or other sources so maybe another time.  After all who doesn't like to see value when shopping?

Those are some impressive deals at Dollar Tree for sure. I don't go there often - not much of a shopper - but every now and then I do for something I know they have.

Hi there, Hannah. I'm a Dollar Tree aficionado! Sometimes when I need a break I just drive over to a Dollar Tree and wander the aisles to see if something catches my eye! Many years ago, we had friends visiting from Belgium and for some reason I went with Diane to a Dollar Tree (just can't remember how or why we landed there). I explained to her that everything cost a dollar. She couldn't quite get the concept. To this day I remember her running up to me with various items and asking if they were all a dollar. She ended up spending some money that afternoon.

Nina Hollander, Broker You could not say that today as there are products that are more money some are as high as $7.00. You have to watch what you are buying, but you still are getting a bargain. It is really a fun place to shop

Joan Cox, it would be best if you stopped there. you will be amazed by what you find. It will cost you more than a dollar, but it is still an excellent bargain

Myrl Jeffcoat  so far I have not seen any closures in the Philly area in fact the inventory seems to be increasing.

Even if the Dollar stores raise their prices another $.50 they will still offer bargains better than a lot of the larger stores.

hi Hannah- I'd never gone to a Dollar Store until last year. We were looking for a cleaner that the internet said was at the Dollar Store. I'm such an idiot....I was in the aisle looking at something else and wondered to Larry how much it was. A shopper nearby smiled and laughed.."It's all a dollar!" (although now it's $1.25)

Kathy Streib  I have never been in an empty store. There are always people shopping . I would be sad to see the stores go out of business. Especially in today's economy it is a place where people can shop and come home and feel like happy.

I try to buy spring water, I have heard that "purified" is code for tap water that has been filtered, haha.

Brian England  puified water takes out  lead and other chemicals that treatment plants may miss. It also makes tap water taste better. I like to give it to Cleo. Second of all you should Google it as it as it is not so funny. Many people use water purify systems on their faucets.

Rumor is my favorite 99¢ store in Yuma is closing. Darn it. It was so convenient and affordable. Of course, nearly everything was $1.25 but still...
