Time keeps on slipping into the future, and if you want to fly like an eagle, you've got to know some tricks of the trade.

If I've heard it once, I've heard it a 1000 times, I don't have time to blog.  I'm not in your shoes, so I don't know how accurate that statement is, or if it's more a matter of not knowing how to be efficient with your blogging time so blogging doesn't become a burden.

The reality is a blog post can be a fairly short amount of time once you've refined your blogging chops.

Do you have a picture of your own to use that you can easily find?  Check.

No picture?  Off to Pixabay.com, put in keyword, search, review, pick, download.  Shouldn't take much longer than a couple of minutes.

Idea for a blog post?  What's trending in the trade?  Did another agent write a post that sparked an idea?  Client asked a question that would make a great FAQ post?  Write another post in a series of home searches (homes with pools, with basements, with 3 car garages, etc.)

Having a template saves time.  Standard market reports, subdivision summaries, new construction communities, home searches are just a few topics that could be standardized.

Strapped for time?  Write a post that is no research or doesn't need much time to develop.  I had another idea for today, but Life happens, a 30 minute showing went over an hour, offer to write, etc., so picking a post topic that would take 30 minutes to develop is a no go.

Really strapped for time?  Update an older post (e.g. annual local event posts can be quickly updated and you can move on with your day).

Go a bit shorter.  When 300 words are effective, kick the 1000 word post into a big hole in the ground.

Practice makes perfect.  The more you blog, the easier it gets.

12 minutes start to finish, idea, picture, content, posted.
