Years ago when I lived near Chicago, I did have breakfast and lunch at Lou Mitchell's. Route 66 has incredible history including haunted hotels.

A lot of interesting towns and cities along Route 66.  We live 1.6 miles off historic Rt. 66 in Golden Valley, AZ. Our guest room is notably called the "66 Room."
