This Week…Free Time

Good morning, Kathy... I'm a big believer in chilling out and having "me" time. I just need to be better at taking more "me" time.

Good morning Kathy. Never took much me time after graduating from college until I retired. Adjusting to me time in retirement has been welcomed but difficult. It is more of a process and not an event for me. Enjoy it when you get it. 

Hello Kathy - while the subject of your post today certainly resonates with me, I also enjoy your Saturday AR routine where you include words of wisdom that accompany the topic.  This week I especially like the quote by Ruth Reichl for multiple reasons.  She is a writer I used to read when she was a restaurant columnist (among other things) in the Los Angeles Times.  

I put a high premium on my "ME" time, it is a valuable thing and I enjoy it the most, haha.

I think it's important that everyone get "me" time. Good point!

Nothing better than having a free weekend to just do whatever we want to do. I will need to retire for that (I think).

Good topic and excellent quotes. Many times we don't realize what we really need is "Me" time. I value my "Me" time now more than ever and is included in my quest for life balance.

On Friday, our landscaper took care of a lot of work that I had expected to do. Now, I have some time for other plans.

Kathy, Frequently, we overlook the importance of carving out time for ourselves. I now try to place a higher priority on personal time!

Hello Kathy and I sometime wonder were all my time goes to in a day.  Me time would be good more often.

I love Howard Nemerov's quote. Funny but so true for some people. They need to keep their fingers off the keyboard and their mouth shut.  😂

I have learned to cherish my ME time. I am way more selective about making commitments these days.

We only go this way once and shame on anyone that devotes themselves to someone else and never takes care of themselves.

Kathy 12 days is a little long for company.  I am ready to kick them out after a week ..... LOL

Time is almost the most precious thing on Earth.  Definitely more valuable than money.

Mornings in the home office are my free time. Soon enough, I will spend more of those hours in the garden, weeding and making sure the plants are thriving and pest free, Kathy. Wishing you a wonderful week ahead!

Hi Kathy:

I like my ME time. Some days it's harder to have but it's a pretty rare day when I don't get some. Today was family day in LA and several hours round trip in the car on the freeway - does that count as ME time (the trip up was by myself)?
