Actually...the statistic you quote in totally not true. I researched it the first time I saw it a couple of years ago. It was written by a VERY liberal writer I HAVE NO RESPECT for. They are counting (in large part) second home owned by families who use them part time. This means Florida (as an example) had about 3 million "vacant" homes...but as we all know in Florida, we have snowbirds. We totally need to figure out how to solve the homeless problem, but lies by the media will not help.
